We have secure outdoor age appropriate play
areas where the children can enjoy the outdoors in safety. Our outdoor yards
are full of climbing frames, wheeled toys, sand pits, veggie patches, secret
gardens and more. We value the outdoor space as another classroom and you will
find a blend of the indoors in our outdoor space, and a blend of the outdoors
in.
We have a wonderfully inviting covered
piazza area which we use for our music and dance sessions. We can also bring
our outdoor toys into this area when it’s raining and still burn energy, and
sometimes we use the space for Show and Tell and afternoon tea.
The Pre Kinder rooms share a lovely
spacious terrace just off their rooms, and also undercover. We regularly use
this area for small group activities and special afternoon teas.
Shh, we have a secret garden! In between
the Baby and the Toddler yards lies a special fenced off area that we call our Secret Garden.
There are garden arches, interesting and colourful flowers in planter pots and
a big tree to explore. All rooms use this garden at different times, and really
enjoy the atmosphere it creates. The space is ideal for small groups who go
there to read books together, or maybe just play in the dirt or make up a
story.
These areas enable the children time and
space to explore, research and discover at an unhurried pace. All our environments
are calm and well resourced in natural items to enhance a child’s spirit to
learn and grow.
