Our three Kinder Haven centres raised almost $800 during February 2009 that we donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. During the bushfires Kinder Haven management and staff were more than willing to volunteer their time, skills, labour and compassion to the cause. Owners Sam and Gina Rosenberg and Area Manager Megan Sharman did many trips to Wallan Community Centre where they delivered donated goods, helped package up food hampers and provided shoulders for others to cry on and ready ears to listen to their concerns.
Thank you to all the Kinder Haven families who responded so generously to our call for donated goods. We had an amazing response and all items were delivered in person to the Wallan Community Centre where they were so graciously received. It’s heartening to know that in times of such shock and tragedy, our little communities can come together to achieve so much.
