What a success! Our garden is planted and ready to grow!What a success! On Saturday 19th February, Kinder Haven
Northland held their first Community Garden working bee. It was a busy
day with around 40 staff and families combining their skiils,
strengthes and talents to create the garden. Everyone spilt up – each
group had a job list of tasks to complete in each yard. The staff
split themselves up amongst the families, directing them as to what
needed to be done.

One of the mothers cooked the BBQ and
the fathers worked hard moving all of the soil from the car park into
the yards. Each family painted a brick which was dug into the car park
as a symbol of their efforts. A range of veggies and flower seeds were
planted and even a blueberry bush, funny enough, named Northland and
Lemon Tree (Helping Hands Tree.)
