More support for families in 2026
Effective 5 January 2026, the Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee supports greater access to subsidised childcare for more families.
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) eligible families can access a minimum of 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight, typically 3 days per week, subject to availability at your chosen centre.
This means:
- More time for your child to learn, play and grow
- More flexibility and support for you
- More affordable care for more families

All G8 Education calculators take into consideration the Federal Government’s 5% withholding in your estimated CCS calculation.
Kindergarten/preschool subsidy is subject to State Government specific requirements including child age eligibility criteria and the delivery of the funded program by an Early Childhood Teacher on the day the subsidy is claimed by the family. NSW Preschool Fee Relief is effective from 1st January 2026. Calculations herein are based on the assumption all eligibility criteria is met. Please contact the centre for detailed information.
